【Important Notice】Supply Delay for Germanium Photodiode Sensors

We have recently been informed by Thorlabs that, due to a significant increase in global demand for Germanium Photodiode Sensors, combined with shortages of raw materials and limited supplier resources, Thorlabs is currently experiencing a serious material supply constraint.

As a result, the lead times for certain products may be affected, with delays of approximately 3 to 6 months in some cases. Actual lead times may vary depending on the specific product model and current supply conditions.

Thorlabs is actively working with its supply chain partners to improve raw material availability and restore normal production capacity. We will continue to closely monitor the latest supply status and provide updates as soon as new information becomes available.

Alternative Options

If your application allows, the following alternative products may be considered:

InGaAs Photodiode Sensors:

• S144C
• S154C

These products cover a wavelength range similar to that of Germanium sensors and currently have relatively stable availability.

In addition, depending on your application requirements, you may also consider a Thermal Power Sensor:

• S405C — minimum measurable power of approximately 100 μW

For certain applications, this product may serve as an alternative to a photodiode sensor.
